Full Description

Site of two stone-lined storage pits full of wood ash, charcoal and scattered pottery, all of which was broken. In the sealing layer above the pits were a rubbing stone and a pounder. It has been estimated that there might have been 8 vessels in each pit. The pottery was of both good quality fluted ware (characteristic of early Neolithic pottery from Scotland) and thick coarse badly fired wares.
