Full Description
The site of Hempriggs Castle lies in arable field to the west of the farm. It was said to have been built during the reign of James II and belonged to a branch of the Dunbar Family. It was demolished in circa 1820 and the stones re-used in building the farm. No trace now remains of it. No further information on the castle itself.
