Full Description
Site of chapel, marked with a cross on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. Demolished, but at the time of OS site visit in 1962 the field had been ploughed and a thin scattering of rubble was noted in the area of the site indicated on the OS 1st edition map. A number of human bones were found in the soil circa 20 m northeast in an area centred NJ16886517. A charter dated 1203-1222 AD states that the Church of Kyntra or Kyntrae is old and mentions a road leading to it. The parson of Kintrae was witness to a deed between 1187 and 1203.
