Full Description
Site of Castle, of which there is now no trace and no local knowledge. A reference to the 'lands and Barony of Pluscarden with Castle and Manor place thereof' as mentioned in a marriage charter of 1702, is made in H. B. Mackintosh's 'Pilgrimages in Moray' (1924). Listed in the Castles, Manors and Townhouses Survey of 1990 as possibly being the site of a castle or manor.
