Full Description
Documentary sources suggest that a fortified house or castle once stood at Auchriachan. No trace of any such structure now survive here, and the site is currently occupied by a modern farmsteading. The property was first associated with the Farquharson family in the 1580s, and it appears to have stayed in their possession until it passed into the hands of the Duke of Gordon by the late 1870s
