Full Description
A short cist, discovered during ploughing in November 1973. It was aligned east-west, contained a much damaged skeleton of a probable female, aged over 40, and a complete beaker type N4. The interior of the cist measured 1.09 m by 0.55 m and was 0.32 m deep. The cist had been built into an oval pit 1.40 m by 1.25 m. It was found circa 850 m north of Darnaway Castle.
