Full Description
A hoard of Roman coins is said to have been found in the Red Moss, but there is some confusion with a hoard found on the Netherley road. This may refer to a collection of casual coins found and not a hoard. Some were presented to Blair's College which include brasses of Galba, Vespasian, Titus, Trajan, Hadrian, Pius, Faustina and Severus.
