Full Description

A cup-shaped stone was found in this area, and presented to the Museum of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland in 1883. It is described as a small circular boulder of granite, flattish above and below with shallow cup-shaped hollows on its opposite surfaces. The cups are 63mm diameter, 25mm deep. It is said to have been found in a stone circle, but there is no information regarding the circle. Scotland's Rock Art Project recorded this as a small rounded stone measuring circa 0.3m by 0.3m by 0.2m with markings on both sides. On one is a large cupmark measuring circa 10 cm diameter, on the other two shallow depressed areas one of which may be natural/
