Full Description
A carved stone ball found near Cairnrobin Farm in 1854. It has 6 ornamented projecting discs which were cut into a series of concentric circles, surrounding a central small rounded projection, and in this way each disc was cut as it were into a series of three concentric steps , increasing thus in size towards the circumference of the circular discs. It formed part of the Alexander Thomson collection. Not located in Marischal College museum, but there is a ball fitting the description said to be from Aberdeenshire.
