Full Description
Scatter of worked flints recorded by fieldwalking in February 2017 as part of the Mesolithic Deeside project. The field is on an uneven surface of the Lochton Terrace. A total of 25 pieces of flint and one of quartz were recovered , including two cores (one multiplatform, the other bipolar), blades, retouched blades and flakes. Many of the pieces (including both cores) suggest Late Neolithic activity although the retouched pieces were all knife forms indicative of the earlier Neolithic.
