Full Description
Approximate findspot of a stone axe, discovered in College Gardens. It measures 10.1 cm (4 inches) x 5.7 cm (2 1/4 inches) and was donated to the NMAS by W. T. McCulloch in 1868. This axe has been petrologically attributed to group XXIV, which comprises objects of calc-silicate hornfels from the 'axe-factory' at Creag na Caillich, Killin (Stirling).
