Full Description

Medieval heraldic mount found during metal detecting. It has a central shield with surrounding border, the latter with four suspension holes, and is decorated with gilt and blue enamel with vegetal decoration engraved on the gilding. The central device has a shield of white enamel set within a red border and with a central bar of blue enamel. It measures 32.3 mm by 25 mm. Claimed as Treasure Trove (TT.125/17) and allocated to ANGUSalive Museums, Brechin Town House Museum Collection.
