Full Description
Scatter of lithics recovered during fieldwalking by the Mesolithic Deeside project in 2021. A total of 88 worked flints were found, including flakes, blades, scrapers, awl, knife form and cores. The assemblage is of mixed chronology. One blade end scrape was detached from an opposed platform blade core, of a type indicating a Late Upper Palaeolithic date. A knife dates to the Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age.
