Full Description

Fieldwalking by S Duthie (2017) recovered a total of 13 lithics. Finds include a bladed, core and flake fragments. This is one of 11 fields walked at Wester Durris as part of the Mesolithic Deeside project, the lithic scatter assemblage from these dominated by elements suggesting Late Neolithic and Bronze Age activity. Five lithics were also recovered during fieldwalking by Mesolithic Deeside Project in January 2022, comprising one small flake, three chunks and an edge retouched too.
