Full Description

A stone axe, smoothly polished and perforated at the top, found at Stonehaven in 1875. It measures circa 100mm x 50mm. It was in the collection of John Sturrock, Monikie which was sold in 1889 and passed into the collection of John Evans. Now in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.
