Full Description

Two bronze leaf shaped swords of late 8th century BC Ewart Park type. They were found in April 1880 close proximity on a bed of sand, and beneath a 1m thick layer of moss. One sword was broken into three pieces on its removal and one of the pieces was not recovered. The second is complete and measures almost 26 inches in length, with six pins for attaching the handle remaining in the hilt. No further information.
