Full Description
Two logboats apparently found at the same location in 1875 but which do not appear to have survived. The first measured 9.2m in length, and between 1m and 1.1m in beam. The timber was identified as 'oak'. The sides did not survive to a significant height and the bottom had been worn down to a thickness of about 175mm. The second measured 8.9m in length and was of slightly greater beam than that found previously. Both were housed by Sir WC Brook in a specially-constructed shed, but no remains of it can now be traced.
