Full Description

Polished jade axe of type IIIa, with a truncated butt, straight sides and which is steeply bevelled to a thin edge. In NMAS, described in the catalogue as from Newton Tilliecairn, which Smith suggests to be Tillycairn Cluny parish. The adjacent farms of Easter Newton and Tillycairn, suggest the axe came from Aboyne and Glentanar.
