Full Description

Bronze medal found in the early 19th century. It bore figures of men in armour on one side, and, on the other an inscription in which Trajan or Trajanus could be deciphered. It was larger than a crown piece but not so thick. OS Name Book records that a Mr Dyce took it for identification, possibly to Edinburgh, where he may have left it.
