Full Description
Remains of a farmstead depicted on the 1st edition OS map which shows two buildings, another possible small building, and a small enclosure to the east. The smaller structure does not appear on the 2nd edition map. Site visit as part of a walkover survey by AOC in August 2021 ahead of a proposed wind farm (NJ15SE0068) noted the remains of a rectangular dwelling. This measured circa 13 m by 5 m, the north gable still standing, the south gable partially collapsed, the west elevation partially upstanding and the east elevation fully collapsed. To the southeast, at NJ1790853714, were the footings of a rectangular building, eroded at the north end by a stream, measuring circa 14 m by circa 8m, the stone spread under the grass.
