Full Description

Farmstead, no longer in use, depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition map shows a U-plan steading, open to the east, with a long range on the east side of the court. To the southwest is a small mill pond, the lade leading to the west side of the steading. By the 2nd edition map the east building had been reduced in size but another small building added. The pond had been enlarged. The central steading range is now ruinous and the building to the east has been removed. Site visit in August 2021 as part of a walkover survey by AOC ahead of a proposed wind farm (NJ15SE0068) noted some roof collapse on the remaining steading buildings.
