Full Description

Stone axes and arrowheads. Nine artefacts of stone were found by the farmer including one leaf-shaped and three barbed and tanged arrowheads, two polished stone axes, one spindle whorl decorated on its top surface, one loom weight, and one scythe sharpening stone (later re-used perhaps to sharpen U-shaped chisels). None were of flint, being mainly of local igneous rock and fine grained quartzite.
