Full Description

Approximate findspot of an iron spearhead, described by Jervise as being medieval. It was discovered near the cairn at Fernybank (NO57NW0001) in 1851 and subsequently donated to the NMAS. The spearhead was not listed in the NMAS catalogue in 1892, and a search for it amongst the collections has not found it. D. Clarke suspects that it may have disintegrated by 1892.
