Full Description

Remains of longhouses. Two longhouses running on a north-south line, 4 m apart, joined by an S-shaped wall. The south structure has a partition wall 10 m from the south end and a door into each room on its east side. The North house, 12 m by 4 m by 1 m high is single-roomed with a door midway along east side. Also recorded during walkover survey carried out by Liz Jones in June - July 2024 ahead of proposed woodland creation (NJ15SE0079). The south building was heavily overgrown with bracken, the north building surviving better with five courses of wall remaining at the gable ends. An associated boundary wall leads down to a track.
