Full Description

A Late Bronze Age hoard found during cultivation of marshy ground in 1856. It consisted of four bronze swords, presented by Earl of Aberdeen to the Edinburgh museum. In addition a further find was made of two leaf-shaped swords of the Ewart Park Northern Step 2 type, 0.61 m and 0.58nm long respectively, one perforated chape, and one swan-neck pin (said to have been found with another bronze sword and another pin) were also found. This second set of finds were presented to the British Museum.
