Full Description

Lithic scatter recorded by fieldwalking by Mesolithic Deeside Project in March 2022, mainly concentrated at the west end of the field. A total of 31 pieces of worked flint were recovered, including 15 flakes, four cores, six blades, and one retouched knife. The lithics represent occupation dating from the Late Mesolithic to Neolithic. The knife, made on a flake, probably dates to the Neolithic. Fragments of clay pipes, a metal object and slag were also recovered.
