Full Description
A copper alloy annular brooch, retaining its pin, found during metal detecting. It was cast in one piece and measures 23 mm in dimeter with a pin length of 22 mm. The shoulders are unusual, and appear to be highly simplified and stylised animal heads. It dates to circa 1300 AD. Claimed as Treasure Trove (TT.156/17) and allocated to ANGUSalive Museums, Kirriemuir Museum Collection.
