Full Description
A possible arrowhead / projectile point found during walkover survey of the area upstream from the site a Mesolithic lithic scatter/shelter (NN98NW0004). It was found immediately beneath an eroded section of the alluvial fam 150m south west of the recorded site, the fan overlying the peat and post-dating AD 500. Its context suggests that is is residual or late in date. The artefact is unusual but does appear to have been modified by human action. Two possible quartz flakes were also recovered but they are thought unlikely to be artefacts.
