Full Description

Eight stone spearheads, 83 mm long, found during cultivation in 1852. Mr C. Temple, tenant of Cloisterseat farm, states in the OS Name Book (1868) that eight stone spearheads, average length 3 1/4 ins (83 mm), were found in a hole at this spot, around 230 m north of Cloisterseat farm buildings, during cultivation in 1852. They are presumably among the flint spearheads, arrowheads, flakes etc from his farm which he subsequently donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) (now the Royal Museum of Scotland (RMS). No further information.
