Full Description
Flint lithic recorded by AOC Archaeology in September 2020 during the Peterhead Substation trial trenching evaluation (NK14SW0313). A red Buchan notched tertiary flint flake, either a scraper or a broken leaf-shaped arrowhead, was recovered from the upper surface of the rig and furrow fill (NK14SW0314). It was likely residual rather than contemporary with the furrow feature. The notched flake type may suggest an Early Neolithic date for the lithic.
