Full Description
Flint flakes and two anvil stones. Simpson (1925) noted heaps of flint flakes and discarded cores, with stone anvils and hammers to be seen 'on the foreshores about Belhelvie'. Two anvil stones are in the Museum of King's College Aberdeen. Enquiries at the farms adjacent to the foreshore revealed no recent finds and no knowledge of the earlier finds. The foreshore consists mainly of shifting sand dunes. The contents of the King's College Museum have been transferred to the Marischal College Museum, Aberdeen.
