Full Description

Various worked flints (barbed and tanged arrowhead, end scraper, and knife/scraper) were found in the garden of 154 Deeside Gardens between 1965 and 1979. Both barbs of the arrowhead were broken, the tang asymmetrical, and the cutting edges not markedly serrated. The end scraper, made on a secondary flake, is slightly larger than a thumbnail scraper with steep retouch at one end. The knife/scraper is pear shaped, retouched along most of the both of the long sides. The flint scraper has a curved working edge. The objects were recorded in the National Museums of Scotland daybook (no DB 1991/76).
