Full Description

Halberd of uncertain provenance (labelled '?near Aberdeen') was acquired by Aberdeen City Museum and Art Gallery at Sotheby's on 20th July 1979. Apart from the loss of the lower 5cm or so of the blade it is in good condition with all three rivets present. (Probably Carn or Cotton type according to information provided by Brendan O'Connor, 06/11/2006).
