Full Description

Stone hammer, circa 0cm in diameter and weighing circa 2lbs, found in 1864 whilst clearing a drain. It has three small hollows on its surface and one larger hollow, allegedly 'finger marks'. With the hammer was a small 'hammer-like' stone tool reminiscent of a metal worker's planishing hammer in shape but not identified. In the garden of Yonder Bognie is the upper stone of a rotary quern, 0.3m in diameter, but the exact find spot is not known.
