Full Description

Lithic scatter. This area was walked twice in 2003, but nothing of archaeological interest was encountered. During the 2004-2005 field walking seasons, 302 pieces of worked chert/flint have been found, including points, scrapers, cutters and the tip of an arrowhead, in an area circa 50 m x 80 m. Among the quartzite tools and possible tools is a hammer of unusual form for Foulzie. In addition, a piece of worked jet and 24 small pottery fragments of prehistoric date have been recovered.
