Full Description

A Class I pictish symbol stone stands in the middle of a field, also known as Upper Manbean. It bears incised symbols of a fish monster with a mirror and comb below it. At the top are the fairly recent initials 'MHS' while on the back are 'TSP'. There has been an old attempt at the back to split the stone. This is an important monument which most likely stands in its original position. Geophysical survey was carried out by University of Aberdeen in October 2013 in the immediate vicinity of the stone, but few features were visible other than a modern fence line and track.
