Full Description

Beaker, type CB, ornamented on the outside by oblique lines and zig-zags. It is 12.1cm high and measures 10.7cm across the mouth. It was stated that it was in the Arbuthnott Museum, Peterhead, but there is no record of this beaker there now. The dimensions fit exactly the beaker illustrated by Clarke (fig 499) as from 'Pitsligo', Bankhead. NJ96NW0010 and NJ96NW0015 represent attempts to locate a beaker from Bankhead in Pitsligo parish which has no Bankhead place name. Co-incidence of dimensions and illustration suggest that only one beaker was ever involved.
