Full Description
Stone axe, found in 1981 whilst clearing a field of stone. It is polished, of brown fine-grained stone, well-ground, highly polished at blade, which is deeply crescentic and very slightly chipped. It measures length 138mm, thickness 26-30mm, width across blade 69mm, width at butt 32mm. A small circular mark circa 5mm in diameter at base of blade, on one face, is recent.
