Full Description

Remains of a rectangular croft with an attached rectangular garden that is depicted on the 1st edition OS map. To the north-northwest lay a D-shaped sheepfold, which does not appear on subsequent maps. In 2011 a comprehensive written and photographic record of the site was undertaken by CFA. The remains were generally in a fair state of preservation although some elevations, mostly to the east of the building, were heavily denuded and assessed as poor. The main farm building comprised six components: a terraced enclosure, a stone built outbuilding terraced into the terrain, a sheepfold, a quarry, the footprint of a demolished structure, a well and some associated trackways.
