Full Description

A propeller was dragged up from the seabed approximately 1.5 miles from the shore by the Pegasus fishing boat. The propeller may be the remains of a Beaufort or Mosquito aircraft from one of the nearby airfields. Numerous aircraft from training bases along the coast are recorded as having crashed into the sea in the vicinity of Lossiemouth during World War II. Presently in storage of Lossiemouth Harbour Master.
