Full Description
Urn, found in 1866 whilst digging sand. It contained burnt bone and a small oval cup, unfortunately both broken. Sseveral deposits of calcined bone were found nearby, in one place these had been covered by a flat stone. These are without doubt associated with the stone circle NJ52SW0001 which stood at this spot.
ORDNANCE SURVEY, 1871, Ordnance Name Book, No14(1866) 44 (Bibliographic reference). SAB1360.
