Full Description
Two rim sherds from a large bowl of Neolithic pottery plus about ten pieces of undiagnostic pottery and worked flints, along with a piece of bone or horn were found in a rabbit scrape circa 1940. The bowl was of hard dark brown ware with fine quartz temper, a burnished dark brown to black slip on the rim and outside. The upper edge of the rim bears transverse grooving resembling narrow fluting. The external rim diameter is about 330mm.
