Collection of prehistoric material, forming part of the 'Lumsden Collection', from the Clova Estates in the parishes of Auchindoir and Premnay were presented to the NMAS by Captain Lumsden of Auchindoir in 1938. The prehistoric material consists of: 16 flint knives; 217 barbed arrowheads; 191 leaf-shaped arrowheads; 7 lop-sided arrowheads; 13 spearheads; 63 other flint implements; 116 stone axes; 5 perforated stone hammers; 1 fragment of bronze dagger or rapier blade; 6 flat axes; 3 flanged axes; 5 socketed axes; 5 miscellaneous objects of bronze; 1 beaker and fragments of others; 6 cinerary urns in fragments; 1 probable Neolithic sherd; 5 glass beads; 2 stone beads; 1 jet pendant; 5 carved stone balls; 5 stone cups; 30 whorls; 30 miscellaneous objects of stone, bone etc.
