Full Description
Stones located at Craggan mark the spot where the United Free Church of Craggan held open air services after breaking away from the Church of Scotland. Two boulders lying inside a fenced enclosure near the road mark the preaching site. On one stone the legend 'MODERATOR'S SEAT APRIL 18..' is inscribed, while the second bears the inscription 'CLERKS TABLE'. An information plaque has been erected at the site. See NJ13SE0052 for the Free Church built in 1844.
