Full Description

Seventeen Roman silver denari found by H Stuart while metal detecting in 1996 at undisclosed location, subsequently said to have been found at Dykeside or Hillhead. The date and range suggests they were derived from a scattered hoard of Severan date. Later information suggests the find spot was at a cropmark site which has since undergone several seasons of excavation (see NJ25NW0024).
