Full Description

Enclosures. A bank defines the upper limit of an area of rush pasture and coarse grasses on the slope above the burn. A broad, low turf-clad bank has an external ditch at the east end though this peters out to the north and west where it is less well-defined. This may represent the enclosing of an area of summer grazing. The site was visited during rapid walkover carried out by D Hall in March 2021 ahead of proposed woodland creation scheme. Suggested that they represent former plantation banks.
