Full Description
A DEEP SUB-CIRCULAR CHASM ABOUT 100m WIDE WITH RED SANDSTONE SIDES. THIS COULD BE A NATURAL GEOLOGICAL FEATURE, AS THE TIDE RUNS IN, SUGGESTING AN UNDERLYING TUNNEL, BUT COULD BE CONNECTED WITH THE TWO QUARRIES NEARBY. Recorded during coastal zone assessment survey carried out by SCAPE between February and March 2009.
SCAPE, 03/2009, COASTAL ZONE ASSESSMENT SURVEY PART 2, P.34 (Bibliographic reference). SAB4802.
