Full Description
Remains of track, recorded during a walkover survey by Mercer and Ralston in 1989 prior to a proposed extension of Bellmuir Quarry (NJ83NE0181). A clearly marked detached sector of terraced track approximately 2 m to 2.5 m wide running obliquely across the slope. It is partly cut into the slope and partly built up of stone. A desk based assessment carried out by Rathmell Archaeology in 2016 ahead of proposed development of Bellmuir Quarry and subsequent field observation noted the site (S3) as present but did not record any further details, with the site located outwith the proposed development area.
