Full Description
Remains of an extensive area of surface quarrying on the slopes above the west side of the loch. The quarries range from single quarry holes to complex faces with massive spoil dumps. Includes a quarryman's shelter, 2m by 2m with drystone walls up to 1.6m high. Loading ramp at NO 39169803, 3.20m x 4.90m. Quarry bothy 1.80m by 2.7m at NO 39289834. The remains of a slightly larger structure stands at NO 39089811. This measures 5.60m by 3.75m with walls 0.85m wide with one side wall 1.3m thick. Retaining walls stands on the north and east sides.
