Full Description
Remains of a gravel pit which is depicted on the OS 1st edition map. It appears to have been disused by the time of the 2nd edition map on which it is annotated 'Old Gravel Pit'. Walkover survey by Alder Archaeology in May 2023 ahead of proposed woodland creation (NO25NE0092) recorded a mound as all that is now visible, this heavily disturbed.
